Sea View Hotel

The room change and the way it was handled set the tone for a really disappointing night. My husband and I had booked one night at the Royal Ascot Hotel to relax, but only when we arrived did Imtiaz tell us maintenance was underway and that we’d be moved to Sea View Hotel, which is under the same management. Nobody had warned us beforehand. We would have booked somewhere else if we’d known. We were told the car would take about five minutes, then waited around 45 minutes. The replacement room was much smaller and quite different from the one we’d booked. At breakfast, staff asked for our room number when we arrived, then asked again halfway through the meal. When my husband politely asked why, nobody answered. We’d also asked for another set of toiletries because only one person’s had been provided. The staff member who brought them didn’t respond when my husband said good afternoon, went into the washroom, left the items, and walked out without acknowledging us. The poor communication and lack of basic courtesy made the whole stay feel badly handled.

Getting picked up at the airport was really convenient, and the service throughout my stay was excellent. Sea View Hotel Dubai was clean, with a good breakfast buffet and the option to order eggs or an omelette. I had a comfortable stay and would recommend it.

The reception team, restaurant waiters, and housekeepers were especially excellent during our two days here with my family. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend staying here for a Dubai vacation.

There are dance bars on the second floor and a VIP bar on the seventh. The hotel is opposite the Dubai Customs building and port, with a good view of the port, ships, boats, and the mail bridge on the road. A good spot in the heart of the city.
