Sonder JBR The Walk Apartments

Ryan made our stay much easier. He was such a good receptionist, calm, clear, and great at explaining things. The rooms were clean and lovely, and the reception calls were handled impeccably. From the welcoming reception atmosphere to the calm, comfortable bedrooms, it was an amazing place.

The hotel was fantastic, even better than the photos suggest. The booking side was less smooth: my card was charged for the security deposit when I booked, rather than at check-in, and I hadn’t been told that would happen. I then waited more than two weeks for the refund and eventually had to call to get it processed. With premium prices, I expected the service to be a bit more seamless.

Being able to use the pool and facilities at the Rixos Premium Dubai made this feel even more like a five-star resort. The beach just in front was gorgeous and clean, lovely for a morning walk or a sunset swim. The location in the heart of Jumeirah Beach Residence was ideal, with great cafés and breakfast spots nearby, but it was still quiet enough to relax. We stayed in a spacious two-bedroom apartment that was perfect for four, with stunning views over JBR and the sea. Waking up to that beach and skyline every morning was incredible. From check-in onward, everything felt smooth and welcoming. A truly wonderful stay, and we’ll definitely come back next time!

This was my third stay at Sondor, and the worst one, so it’ll be my last. The location is fantastic, but the price doesn’t match the room or service. The beach club is always full after 12:30 pm, and the rooms smell of sewage. The phone didn’t work, so you could only chat with the conceirge. One room had a broken couch, and the hotel wouldn’t change either the room or couch. The parking staff made a mistake and we had an accident with the parking barrier. The supervisor was impolite in how he spoke and acted as if he were doing customers a favor.
