The H Dubai

The reception was okay, but Santai spa was so good. Rayana was marvellous with her treatment and protocols, and I felt great there. Spa gets 10/10. I just got a call from H hotel with an apology for the disappointment I felt, so I added a star to my review, taking it from three to four. I’ve still deducted one because of the scar. Thank you for understanding!

We had a lovely, cozy Iftaar with family at “eat&meat”. The food was great, from the snacks to the variety of desserts, and we loved the relaxing atmosphere. Imtiaz helped us with the car and wheelchair issue, so we could enjoy ourselves without hassle. Kevin was friendly and helpful when assisting us at the exit. Everyone who helped us today was wonderful. I can definitely recommend the place for its service and hospitality.

Our three-night stay with young children turned into a stressful series of room changes and broken promises. The staff gave us conflicting information about whether a large family room was available and whether it was in a smoking area, changing their answer repeatedly and wasting our time. They eventually put us in a room they described as large, but at night we heard constant noise from the air conditioners across the floor and dripping water from the ceiling. There weren’t enough beds either. They’d promised a crib and bedding for the living room sofa but forgot them, and only brought them much later after we called reception. After that awful first night, we asked for a quiet, normal room. They promised a large room for the final two nights. We checked carefully that it would be ours both nights because moving repeatedly with small children would be difficult. The receptionist assured us there was nothing to worry about. The room was beautiful, large, cozy, and finally met our expectations. We slept well. Then in the morning, we were told the hotel had made another mistake: someone else had booked that room, so we couldn’t keep it for our last night. We had to move for a third time, in the middle of the day, just as we were about to head out to Dubai attractions. It wasted precious time and shortened our trip. A manager had also promised an extra bed and another crib for the third room. When we arrived there at night, neither was in place. Reception didn’t believe us about the promise, and it took a long time for the missing beds to arrive. The representatives weren’t coordinated, didn’t give accurate information, and failed to keep promises. A five-star hotel shouldn’t put guests through three rooms, disrupt their sleep and comfort, and cause this much stress without apologizing, compensating us, or taking responsibility. We spent a lot of money on a hotel that ruined our experience. It’s not appropriate for families, and I would not recommend it.

This is my sixth stay here, which says how much I like the hotel. It’s my favorite place to stay in Dubai: secure and comfortable, with clean rooms, good service and food, a convenient location, and very good staff. I like that you can connect your phone to the TV. Thanks to everyone I dealt with for their hospitality, especially Ms. Mai at reception, Mr. Kareem, Mr. Imtiaz, who helped with my luggage and extra weight, and Mr. Roland. I’ll definitely return.
