Tropical at Royal Amwaj with Private Beach Apartment

When I asked Yam to let me speak with a manager or supervisor, he told me he was both. I don’t think the building management intended one person to hold those positions. At reception, he came across as overbearing rather than helpful or professional, and the interaction made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Front desk staff should be courteous and efficient. I hope management addresses this so service improves.

It’s been more than 36 days since I left the hotel, and I still haven’t got my deposit back. I was told it would be returned within seven days at most. I borrowed that money from a friend just for the deposit and promised to pay it back within a week, so this has put me in a very bad situation and damaged my life. I’ve contacted the administration several times, but got nowhere, and it’s difficult to communicate with them.

We’ve been messaging and talking to everyone involved for four months, but they keep promising to do something and nothing happens. I’m getting stressed and don’t know what to do. We’ve lived here nearly a year, and the tree in front of our apartment blocks the lovely sea and Burj Al Arab view we rented it for. They had trimmed it before we moved in. We’re also getting lots of flies and ants.

Really bad experience. The staff aren’t helpful, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
