Wadi Al Safa 5 Emirates

The hotel is beautiful, grand and opulently decorated, and the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we asked. A helium balloon left in the room one day was a thoughtful touch that the kids loved. Still, a few things took the shine off what could have been a perfect stay. We booked for 2 adults and 2 children and paid for an extra child's bed. I emailed the week before to say we'd arrive after midnight and asked for the room to be set up, but it wasn't. Reception responded quickly when I called, though a 5-star hotel should have had it ready. We also repeatedly got too few towels for four people, three most days and two one day. They brought more when I phoned, but we shouldn't have had to ask. The bathroom floor flooded after every shower because the shower door had no seal, leaving standing water and a slippery hazard. We got wet feet going in afterwards. Breakfast eggs were another problem. We stayed seven nights and ordered eggs five times, but the wait was so long that we'd finished the rest of breakfast before they arrived. The restaurant wasn't even that busy, and one day they forgot my daughter's omelette until we asked again.

We paid about AED 3,000 for one night in a Royal Suite, but spent most of the stay dealing with problems instead of relaxing. The AC wouldn't cool below 22°C. We complained from check-in until midnight, and maintenance came to the room four times without fixing it. Eventually we were told all Royal Suites have the same AC issue. The hotel's answer was to bring in two noisy portable AC units, which made it hard to sleep. In-room breakfast took 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. After all that inconvenience, the best compensation offered was a late checkout and the same breakfast that had taken 90 minutes. For a 5-star hotel, this was unacceptable. Charging premium rates for suites with a known AC problem is poor value. We left frustrated instead of relaxed and wouldn't return.

The kids had a fantastic time at the polo club pool, and the whole birthday felt easy for us to enjoy. Tareq and his team took care of everything, from clear communication during planning to getting each detail right on the day. Their care and effort made our daughter’s 6th birthday memorable. We’re very grateful, and I’d recommend them to anyone wanting a stress-free event. Thanks again for making it so special.

The horse stables were a beautiful part of the resort, and the surroundings felt so relaxing. We spent 7 days at Al Habtoor Polo Resort and were greeted with warm hospitality and thoughtful care every day. Mr. Islam and Ms. Falak were especially kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. The food was delicious too. It was a memorable stay, and I’d love to return.
