I went to a unit on the second floor of jewels tower 2 for a birthday visit. The guard scanned my Emirates ID and asked me to leave it with him. That felt very uncomfortable, especially since he gave me no claim tag or any proof he had taken it. I’ve never had this happen before, and leaving my ID with someone seems sketchy and potentially dangerous. My details should have been enough, or they could have checked with the unit owner. The guest registration rules also seem inconsistent, and the place didn’t feel welcoming. Be careful, and don’t leave your Emirates ID with anyone.

The maintenance is poor. The air conditioning chiller was out for more than a month through June and July, right in summer, and the maintenance crew couldn’t get it fixed.
