Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

I slept very well in the extremely spacious room, and the hotel was clean, comfortable, large, and well maintained. The staff were efficient, courteous, and professional. At Lexington Bar, the Filipino bartender made an excellent White Russian and clearly knew his cocktails. Well done! The outdoor pool was beautiful and generously sized. Unfortunately, the hotel's nearby factories, less than one kilometer away, affected the air quality. Around midnight the air was so heavy that staying on the balcony was practically impossible, and at 8 a.m. the smell was still strong on the restaurant balcony during breakfast. A real pity. Inside the hotel, the main issue was an unpleasant strong smell from the carpeting. We'll try coming back during a slightly warmer period.

I've been a regular Waldorf Astoria guest for about three years as a Ras Al Khaimah resident, renewing a monthly day pass for beach and pool access for my family. We also spend roughly 7,000 AED a month dining at the property. I have no complaint about the restaurants, where the staff are consistently professional and courteous, or about the pool area. My problem is the spa's inconsistent treatment. When I renewed my latest membership, I was firmly told that the spa closed at 8:45 PM and that the contract would only be issued if I accepted that condition. Yet the official closing time shown online and at the spa entrance is 9:00 PM. Every day at exactly 8:45 PM, the lights are switched off and I'm told to leave. I've seen other hotel guests stay until 9:00 PM without being pressured out, so it appears this is being applied specifically to me. The restroom amenities are also often left unreplenished unless I ask. Staff start removing water and services from the spa as early as 8:30 PM, which makes the place feel unwelcoming. I haven't noticed this being done consistently to other guests. I delayed writing this because I hoped things would improve, but they haven't. After this level of loyalty and spending, I expect respect, fairness, and consistency. Those should be basic standards at a property of this level.

Aramay at reception made a wonderful first impression, welcoming us with real warmth while remaining friendly and professional. Every staff member was kind, helpful, and ready to assist whenever we needed something. They made the whole stay comfortable and enjoyable, and I'd gladly recommend this hotel and come back.

The room was remarkably large for a non-suite, with a stunning balcony view, while the beach and pools were pristine. Every part of the stay felt carefully considered and premium. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah for our anniversary, and it was honestly the best hotel stay I've ever had. The team were warm, attentive, and highly professional from beginning to end. Dinner was outstanding, and breakfast was easily the best hotel breakfast I've had all year. Even the iced coffee was next-level, which is unusual at hotels. We can't recommend the place enough and are already looking forward to returning.
