Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa

The Sheraton made our anniversary genuinely memorable. Staff and my husband kept the surprise secret, so entering a room decorated with balloons and flowers was a wonderful moment. We were also given one of the best rooms, with an incredible view. We booked a package including dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the stay overall. My only small complaint was the limited Indian food selection compared with the much larger number of Russian dishes. Everything else was lovely. Highly recommended.

The dessert station was the standout, with excellent Arabic sweets, especially umm ali, along with gelatos and tarts. There was also a lot of variety overall, and the service was super fast and very good, particularly from Mr akash. Some dishes still need improvement. The sushi, salads, soups, and starters were decent, while the camel harees was only okay and the ouzi was bland. The mutton biriyani tasted fine but had too many bones. Channa masala came without Indian bread or white rice. The beef black pepper seemed like boiled beef chunks with vegetables rather than sautéed meat. Kebabs were just fine, the beef ones were hard and chewy, and the lamb seemed oven-cooked and reheated over charcoal. Sheesh tawouk was fine too.

I really enjoyed my one night here. I booked a partial sea view room, and the view was breathtaking. The private beach is a great bonus, while the corniche outside has plenty of places to eat and drink. There are also many dining choices in the hotel that I hope to try next time. The staff were excellent and even arranged a taxi for checkout. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived, but I was given a late checkout the following day, which I appreciated. It’s a good family-friendly hotel. Practicing Muslims should know that bikinis and similar swimwear are allowed on the private beach, as the rules are more relaxed for non-Muslims despite the Sharjah location.

With two small children, aged 7 months and 2 years, we felt looked after from the moment we arrived. Sam and Mohamed at reception were especially professional, kind, and attentive. Valet parking, luggage help, and every other interaction were handled with smiles, without anyone expecting tips. This was our seventh visit to the UAE, and it became our best hotel experience so far. The team made the holiday much easier and more enjoyable, and we’re deeply grateful. We’ll definitely return.
