Galleon Beach Resort gave me the freedom of an apartment with the feel of a luxury beach escape. The one-bedroom cottage's full kitchen and living room made working and relaxing much easier than staying in a standard hotel room. As a digital nomad working full-time from Antigua, I really appreciated that setup. The beach is only steps away, and the calm water was perfect for swimming. Antigua was easy to explore from there, though I was equally happy spending slow days beside the ocean. It was comfortable, practical and beautiful. I'll definitely return next time.

Galleon beach was exactly what we hoped for. Waking up right on the beach and taking a morning dip is hard to beat, and the veranda became my happy place for rum cocktails and sunset views of sting rays and turtles jumping from the water. The cottage's have everything needed, and the staff are always glad to help with water, coffee and regular cleaning. We stayed just after the renovation reopening, and the work has been done amazingly well. We'll be back. Loose Cannon bar and the Rum Distillery are a short walk away, with trails leading to Shirley Heights and Mermaid Pools for hikers. For exploring farther into English harbour, renting a car would be wise.
