We left this property early after a disappointing stay with our three kids and had to push for a 50% refund so we could find somewhere else for the rest of our family vacation. For the price, the place felt old, didn't match the online photos, and showed little attention to detail. There is NO beach access, the pictures are outdated, and the property isn't as well maintained as advertised. It's also not close to the beach, so you need a car, with everything roughly a 30-minute drive away. Construction next door added another problem, while the water pressure and temperature were unreliable. I had contacted them before booking about concerns raised in earlier reviews, and I wish I'd paid more attention to that feedback. The property runs okay in general, but it wasn't the convenient, updated experience we expected. Buyer be ware.

Our May 2026 stay at Nonsuch Bay Resort was a bad vacation despite the attractive setting. The rooms are reasonably designed and the secluded plunge pool gives them a private, peaceful feel. Unfortunately, the old-fashioned door locks have no key cards and didn't feel secure. After 38 years of traveling, I've never experienced resort service like this. We received two bottles of water and were told to refill them ourselves at a dispenser beside the bar. Room service came every other day, and wash clothes had to be requested. The food was another major disappointment. Breakfast had no fresh fruit except melon, despite mangoes falling from the trees and pineapple growing on the island. Juice and fruit choices were limited, the menu made us repeat the same meal, and eggs and bacon could take 20 to 30 minutes. Lunch was bland and repetitive, while dinner offered limited dishes such as pasta, burgers, and sometimes poorly prepared chicken or fish. Although the resort advertises itself as all-inclusive, steak or lobster cost an additional $40. The steak was tough, and the lobster was not in season. When I asked the waitress for a burger because I disliked the dinner choices, she said burgers were only served at lunch and offered another $40 steak instead. The handling of our anniversary made the poor service feel worse. On arrival, the bed had an uninspired arrangement of palm leaves and flowers from the property. The front desk simply suggested that we come down for dinner. Nonsuch Bay is also 45 minutes from St John’s, and transportation costs add up if you need a good meal or personal items. The beach was covered in seaweed, and birds and mosquitoes competed for our food. The setting was pleasant, but the food, service, and value were nowhere near what we expected from a luxury resort. I wouldn't recommend it, and would suggest looking at the other side of the island.

Our honeymoon at this resort had some good moments, especially the excursions and the pleasant staff, with Maxine being phenomenal, but we wouldn't recommend staying here. The wifi was out from Monday night until Friday evening. We had called ahead about excursions, only to be told arrangements had to wait until arrival, followed by another 24-48 hour wait. Keriah at the front desk was especially unhelpful and gave us several mistruths, including saying the wifi outage was nationwide when it wasn't. We also booked private airport transport through her, waited 45 minutes, and couldn't find the driver. After paying international calling fees, we learned he was waiting by the taxi area, not stuck in traffic 20 minutes away as Keriah had said. Ask Deirdre for help instead. Beach towels run out early, food items can run out at dinner, and you need to eat early to have the full choice. One bottle of water is provided for the whole stay, then you refill it at a lobby fountain. The rooms were clean, the view was stunning, and the food was decent, although the choices were severely limited. Most of the staff were pleasant, and we had a great time on the excursions, but many other problems happened during the week.

Nonsuch Bay is an elegant, beautifully peaceful resort with stunning rooms, excellent food, and very special day trips. It is fairly new and still finding its feet, but the setting is incredibly beautiful. The resort is remote, which may not suit everyone, though that distance is part of what makes it so calm. Antigua itself is a wonderful island, and we've been fortunate enough to visit and sail there. All in all, it was a fabulous holiday.

The location is incredible, and the food is top notch. We're not even halfway through the holiday yet, but it's already been an amazing experience. The staff have been exceptionally friendly.
