Antigua Village Beach Resort

We spent 2 weeks here and loved how close we were to both the beautiful beach and the pool. We had already rented a car, so we used the stay as a base for exploring. The landscaping was beautiful and everything felt perfect. This was our second trip, and I hope there will be many more.

The beach area was a pleasant place to stop for happy hour at the bar. My room was on the 3rd floor and was nothing fancy, though I didn't have much to complain about. The one real inconvenience was the narrow staircase leading up to it.

The sea view was genuinely great, and the grounds were lush. Walking along the beach felt exactly as you'd expect in the Caribbean. Staff were helpful too. When we lost water for one night, they fixed it within an hour, and they let us have an extra hour before checking out. The room, however, was shabby in places. Water couldn't drain from the terrace, and there wasn't even a brush available, so seeing the view meant paddling through dirty water full of insects. Old stepladders left in the wardrobe added to the strange condition of the room. We paid quite a lot, so I'd recommend it only if you keep your expectations realistic.

The property made a great base for relaxing or heading out to explore Antigua. It sits right on a beautiful beach, with very good dining close by. Our room was exceptionally clean and well maintained throughout the week. If you want to book tours, I suggest visiting the office on site. They were extremely helpful and connected us with reputable tour operators. It was an incredible week.
