Malliouhana Resort Anguilla

Malliouhana sits above Meads Bay and offers nearly everything you could want, though it comes at a price. Our oceanfront suite was wonderfully private, but the walk down to the beach area was a little longer than ideal, a minor complaint. There were several dining choices from dusk to dawn. We skipped the infinity pools because we preferred the white sand, loungers, and wait staff. Everyone was friendly and smiling throughout the week, and the bellman even drove us to restaurants on Meads Bay in the evenings. There was a lot to love.

The location, pool, and food were good, and some members of the staff were friendly, but the resort fell short for the price compared with other places we’ve stayed on the island. Our room was sparse, we weren’t upgraded, and in room amenities were not restocked. We could easily hear our neighbors, and a smoke detector problem woke us from a nap. Service was often very slow, things were forgotten, and some staff were rude or barely helpful. The food and drinks were fine but not memorable. At checkout, we had arranged luggage pickup for a specific time the night before, yet they called 15 minutes beforehand asking if it was ready, then arrived another 25 minutes later. The missing attention to detail made the stay less enjoyable.

The views were amazing, the food was delicious, and every member of the staff was lovely. Kim at the front desk deserves special thanks for making everything feel extra smooth and sensational, with such wonderful energy. This was easily our favorite vacation so far, and we’ll be back.

We were upgraded to an oceanfront suite, and it was incredible. The resort also has restaurants, a beach, pools, a gym, a spa, pickleball courts, and basketball courts, all with stunning views. Miguel at Celeste was a particularly memorable server, humorous and personable, while the entire staff were excellent. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.
