Turtles Nest Beach Resort

The rooftop is a real hidden gem 🤫, and the clean, inviting pool was another nice feature. There were also kayaks and paddleboards on the property that you can use, I believe. We were welcomed with a snack basket and a bottle of wine, which was a lovely touch. Our studio was on the 6th floor with no elevator, but the walk was worth it for the million dollar view of the setting sun, especially at a "budget" price. The location in the middle of Meads Bay was great, with plenty of room on the beautiful stretch of sand and sea and good food nearby. The kitchen was well equipped, Best Buy market was a stone throw away, and B&D's local roadside bbq and hot Johnny cakes were only a short drive down the road and around the corner. I’d get a condo here if I could. 🌴

Their refrigerator was easy to keep full because the property is close to a grocery store. There are also plenty of good options for spending the day or going out at night. Our friends stay here every year when they visit us. In my humble opinion, it’s on the prettiest beach on the island.

The setting was peaceful, but still close to some of Anguilla’s best restaurants and attractions. Parking at the resort was convenient, and having a car is definitely recommended if you want to see more of the island. Turtle’s Nest Resort sits directly on a stunning stretch of beach with breathtaking views. The property was beautiful and well maintained, while the accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The staff were all super helpful and friendly, and we felt right at home. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it for a beach vacation.

The money lost is irrelevant now. What’s upsetting is the astonishing lack of sensitivity and empathy shown toward a tragedy. I had booked this three night trip to Anguilla for my girlfriend’s birthday. Two weeks before we were due to leave, her father died suddenly, and she flew to Argentina to burry her dad before returning to Miami, where we live. Then, just 5 days before the trip, she learned that her mother was critically ill. Within a month, she had gone from loosing her father to facing the possibility of loosing her mother. We flew back to Argentina knowing we would lose the trip. I contacted the hotel directly and explained everything, hoping they might make an exception. I knew the Cancellation Policy and understood that I hadn’t bought Trip Protection, but I wanted to ask whether there was any other option after everything she had gone through. Jackie replied with a very cold one-line email: "Unfortunately your reservation is nonrefundable nor changeable". As I said in my email to Jackie, such a lovely and warm response. This review is about the Human interaction, not the stay itself, and the lack of empathy was deeply sad.
