Blen Grand

The garden feels almost like a farm, with roses, orange, lemon, mandarin, and other fruit trees. From the balcony, I could look out over Shpirag mountain, the ancient castle, and mountain Tomor, which made the stay unforgettable. Anila and her son Bianco were very welcoming. Anila is one of the best cooks, preparing delicious food from fresh vegetables and meats picked from the area and their garden. The room was clean and well equipped, and this was one of the best places I have stayed. I'm looking forward to returning and reliving those memories.

The peaceful front garden was the highlight for me, giving Blen Grand a calm, almost magical atmosphere. The surroundings are gorgeous, and the whole property is refreshingly quiet. The owners were genuinely kind and made us feel at home. Our room was impeccably neat, with a very comfortable bed, mini-fridge, efficient air conditioning, and a spacious clean bathroom. We also had a private balcony with a wonderful view, perfect for coffee or quiet reflection. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and parking was available. The hotel is also conveniently located for the 1000 Windows area and Berat Castle. Blen Grand was a beautiful, relaxing stay.

Blen Grand Hotel gave us the kind of hospitality that felt genuinely like family. The whole team was welcoming, especially Bianko and his wonderful mom and dad, who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Nothing felt like too much to ask, and their warmth and sincerity made the stay unforgettable. The food was finger-licking delicious, full of flavour, tradition, and care. Every meal tasted fresh, and you could tell it was prepared with pride. We left with full hearts and stomachs, and can't wait to come back. Highly, highly recommended.

What stayed with me most about Blen Grand Hotel and Restaurant in Berat was the family’s kindness. It felt less like a hotel stay and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. The building was beautiful, clean, and in a great location, but the warmth behind it made the real difference. Everyone in the family made an effort to help, check that I was comfortable, share a smile, or stop for a little conversation. You can feel the care in everything, including the proud way each dish is served. The restaurant was a highlight too. The meals were homemade and delicious, and there were plenty of good options for me as a vegetarian. I enjoyed both the food and the conversations around it. I left with much more than a place to sleep and will always have a soft spot for this lovely family. Thank you for making my time in Berat so special. 🫶
