Castle Park

It was a quiet, peaceful setting that worked well for a family or romantic dinner. We came with our family and found the portions large, the price justified, and every dish very tasty, with traditional flavors and no over-dried meat 😅. The waitress was extremely polite, played with our child, and kept checking that we were comfortable.

The setting was warm and full of charm, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. We enjoyed generous portions of genuinely traditional Albanian food, every bite of it delicious. It was a fantastic way to discover the richness of Albanian cuisine. Highly recommended! 🤩

A local recommended this place, and we were glad we followed the advice. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and paid €18 euro for the set menu, expensive for Albania but completely worth it. The traditional food was delicious and so filling we nearly needed to be rolled back down the hill. They adapted the main dishes for us as vegetarians. The view is lovely but partly blocked by trees, while the drive up is part of the experience. It's a steep climb, so I wouldn't suggest walking, although you can slow down or stop on the way back because the road isn't busy. Leave the tourist trap at the bottom and come up to this lovely gem. They also run the Albanian rafting company, which we tried today and found fantastic, so ask them about it.

Set on a beautiful hill overlooking Berat, this is the only place I'd want to stay when visiting the city. The rooms are peaceful, attractive, fully equipped, and very comfortable. The restaurant is the best ever, with impeccable Albanian traditional dishes, while the staff are polite and attentive. Prices are very affordable, and I'd recommend it without hesitation.
