Hani i Xheblatit is in a central location, so we could easily walk to the bridges and everything else we wanted to see, although there are steps up to what I’d call the third level of buildings. Our room was adorable, with a balcony looking over the other side of the river, and it had every convenience we needed. It also had the character of a place built after the 1855 earthquake in Berat. The host has a wonderful sense of humor and is a true master of hospitality, while his small staff seem to perform magic. Breakfasts were colorful and amazing, and dinner was just as special, especially the stuffed eggplant and Byrek.

Staying in this beautiful old stone house felt like staying in a piece of history. The host was very friendly and helpful, and made sure we experienced the best of albanian hospitality. Breakfast came with a breathtaking view from the balcony. We’ll definitely come back.

Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and authentic, with lots of attention to detail. The grilled meat was juicy, tender, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Crispy fries, plus a fresh salad with feta and olives, went beautifully with it all. A completely delicious experience.

The historic interiors give Hani Xebltatit the feeling of a small palace, with charm in every corner. Even more memorable, though, was how warmly and genuinely the staff welcomed us, making it feel like we were staying in someone’s home. Breakfast was fresh, generous, and beautifully presented, and the panoramic view over the heart of Berat was incredible to wake up to. Whether you stay one night or several, this place makes the trip feel special. Absolutely worth every penny and highly recommended.

The views are great, and the food is excellent. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, so I’d highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.
