Mr. and Mrs. Guri made us feel completely at home with their warmth and hospitality. Their renovated house is both comfortable and charming, and the care they’ve put into every detail is easy to notice. Its central position made exploring Berat’s historic streets and attractions simple. This is one of the best places to stay, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berat.
Staying here felt much more like being welcomed by family than staying in a hotel. The elderly owners have put their hearts into the guesthouse, decorating the cozy rooms and walls themselves. Every detail has a warm, homely feel, and they were always ready with a smile or a story. I’d definitely recommend this place for a genuine and memorable experience in Berat.
The traditional architecture and authentic Albanian details give Bujtina “Guri” a lot of charm, while the rooms remain clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Its central location is convenient for visiting Berat’s historic sites. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and happy to share their knowledge of the city. Totally recommend it.
The guesthouse is peaceful but still close enough to explore the beauty around Berat. You can see the care taken to preserve the space’s authentic character while keeping it comfortable. Every corner seems to have its own story. Would definitely recommend, 10/10.
Mrs. Guri was wonderfully attentive, making coffee in the morning and checking that we had everything we needed. Mr. Guri’s enthusiasm for Albanian history was just as memorable. His museum in the Bujtina taught us a lot about the culture, and trying on the folk costumes was great fun. They also helped us work out the arrangements for traveling to another city in Albania. The house itself is in the beautiful Mangalem neighborhood and has excellent city views. Finding it was easy because the owners placed Bujtina signs and historical information along the route from the start of the neighborhood up to the house. Our room was spotless, well equipped, and so comfortable I may have slept better there than at home. Checking in and communicating were simple. We loved the guesthouse and will come back.
