The restaurant experience was a real mess. We agreed to the waiter’s suggested dish but clearly asked for one portion, not two. He brought a large serving on one plate, then the bill showed two portions. When we challenged it, he didn’t understand why we were unhappy. We asked for the manager, but he also failed to see the issue and said we had to pay for both. I’m sure this was deliberate, as the waiter claimed it was a misunderstanding. Even if it was a mistake, the manager should have recognized that the waiter caused it and tried to put things right. It wasn’t about the money, but the blatant deception and disrespect. Some of the staff laughed while we tried to explain. We’ll definitely tell the people staying at our hotel about this. The food wasn’t even good: the chicken was dry and tasteless. I don’t recommend this restaurant to tourists.

I’m sure the waiter planned to deceive us, rather than it being the misunderstanding he described. But even if it was a mistake, the manager should have seen that the waiter caused it and tried to make things right. This wasn’t about the extra money, it was about the brazen deception and disrespect. Some staff laughed while we tried to explain. We’ll make sure the people staying at our hotel hear about it.

This place is more expensive than average, and the restaurant was awful. The goulash came with only five pieces of meat and about a spoonful of mashed potatoes, and they forgot the salad altogether. The musaka had no eggplant, just potatoes and meat. Nearby restaurants are much better. We also found out the English menu lists higher prices.
