Hotel Suli

The room was basic but suited our needs, since I expect you spend about 75% of your time at the beach or out at the cafes, restaurants and clubs along the strip. We had a twin bedroom arrangement on the fourth floor: one double bed, one twin bed, and a fifth bed by the fridge and kettle as you come in. The bathroom had a toilet, basin and shower cubicle. The beds and towels were clean, though the shower cubicle could have used more attention to detail. There was CCTV covering the stairs, corridors and lift door on every floor. I hope it works and records, and that it’s never needed. The toilet extractor wasn’t great, and kitchen, cigarette and drain smells came from it. Payment was cash only, in local currency or euros. We arranged a local taxi at reception the afternoon before our 6:15am airport transfer. Ask for the number to be passed to the night watchman. Reception is covered by a night watchman, and that’s all he is. The hotel is under a new name, or possibly new management. On June 1, I saw local lifeguards being put through their paces. They looked very rough around the edges, and I wouldn’t count on half of them getting someone out of the water quickly. The beach in front is very flat, with a very gradual drop.
