The food was tasty.

The room had no electricity all night, so I woke up from the heat. Staff behavior and manners were awful, and the hospitality was terrible. When I arrived at reception, nobody was there. Someone eventually came out asking for cash only, without explaining anything about the hotel or how to find the room. At checkout, nobody was there to meet me either. A lot of work is needed before this place can succeed.

No, no, no. 👎 We paid €900 for 5 nights, yet my parents, both 65, were refused a parasol on the beach early one windy morning, even though everyone else had their umbrellas open. It felt close to discrimination. Sitting on two loungers with friends was forbidden too. The manager argued with my parents on the beach, where he was with his wife, saying people sitting on the loungers would damage them. Picking fights with older people and ruining their vacation is the worst part. They couldn't just enjoy themselves like holidaymakers. After they complained to hotel staff, nobody got in touch to sort it out. The managers, a man and a woman, were disgracefully unfriendly, uncommunicative, and not customer oriented. The woman at reception had a miserable expression every morning, with no good morning or good afternoon. They take your money first, then act tough. Don't even go into the store. It wasn't empty for no reason. Guests are treated like nuisances, with the manager acting as if the umbrellas are his and he decides when, how, and where you can use them. Apparently you can't leave one open at 8 a.m. when it's 28 degrees. Bravo. One star for that. The rooms were a disaster too. The showers didn't work, the toilets had drainage problems, they skimped on toilet paper, and there were other issues. Management has picked the wrong job. Stay away. There are 1,000 other hotels in Durres where you won't be disappointed.
