Bed and Breakfast Kotoni

Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully kept, with every detail arranged thoughtfully for a calm stay. The staff were warm, kind, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. From the moment we arrived at Hotel Kotoni in the heart of Gjirokastër, it felt like home. The hotel is tucked away somewhere peaceful but still a short walk from the main sights, including the historic old town and Gjirokastër Castle. The cobbled streets and mountain views are easy to reach from there. It’s a hidden gem that offers local warmth, comfort, and culture along with a place to sleep. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Kotoni to anyone visiting Gjirokastër.

We felt at home thanks to the wonderful people, who were helpful with everything. The service and breakfast were very good, and the castle view was great. It’s within walking distance of everything. Highly recommended if you’re after a different, traditional experience in Gyrocastro.

The hosts were warm, lovely, and attentive. When we got lost in the city, they came to collect us and take us back to the hotel. Its streets can be confusing, but once you get used to them, getting around is easy. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are pleasant, and it’s about five minutes from the historic heart of Gjirokastër. There’s also a restaurant with exceptional food and great value for money. Breakfast is included and delicious.

My single room was clean and had a nice view, and the rooms have AC. The bathrooms could be a bit bigger. The location works well between the old bazaar and castle, so it was easy to visit both, but only after getting there by taxi. Walking uphill from the center would be torture, especially with heavy bags, so I’d suggest taking a taxi. Breakfast was nice, though butter would be better than margarine.
