Caramel Boutique Hotel

We stayed four nights as a couple and had a great time. Getting to the castle and old bazaar was easy, either on foot, by car, or by taxi, which costs only 3 euros per ride. I actually preferred this location to the choices in the historic area because of the parking and the roads. The room was lovely, comfortable, and very clean. The staff were so helpful and welcoming, which really added to our stay. I usually find something that could be improved, but honestly, I can’t think of anything this time. Everything was great, and I’d definitely recommend it!

Free parking and, especially, complimentary ironing facilities were such handy extras. My room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were friendly and always there to help. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was delicious and came out quickly, and the atmosphere was really relaxing. The staff were very polite and even helped us park the car. At Caramel, I found everything I needed in the clean room, including a soft, comfortable bed. It made my trip to Gjirokastra even more enjoyable. I’d choose this hotel again if I return :)

My partner became very ill and needed hospital care, so we couldn’t stay. The hotel still insisted on charging us the full price and showed no flexibility or understanding. At such a difficult time, we expected basic compassion, but got rigid rules and no support. It was a very disappointing experience and not the kind of hospitality travelers should have to deal with.
