Hotel Summer Dream

The room and view were both great, but construction noise made it impossible to properly rest, even though it was the weekend. Overall, I’d give it 6/10.

The road to the property was terrible, and without an SUV or something similar you’re basically stuck. Parking was also awful. Construction nearby covered the car in mud and other dirt, possibly ruining the paint, and after a week our clothes and towels were extremely dirty. The sea was muddier than elsewhere along the same coast. The staff were friendly, and the cooking was great. However, I saw the owners rudely yelling at staff during service. We should at least have been warned about the road or told to cover the car before booking. They didn’t care, and the damage was huge. Definitely not recommended until the road is finished.

My main problem with Summer Dream Hotel in Dhërmi was its inflexible minimum-stay rule. Even when rooms are available, the hotel won’t accept bookings for only one or two nights and requires guests to stay longer. That is frustrating for weekend travelers or anyone following a fixed itinerary, and it feels unfair and very unfriendly to customers. Worse, the restriction often isn’t made clear until you try to reserve, leaving few alternatives and unnecessary frustration. I hope management changes this if it wants to compete and respect guests’ time and needs.

BIG NO. My reservation was apparently forgotten when I arrived, and the host hadn’t prepared properly. I got no help locating the apartment, and communication stayed poor throughout. Then the host canceled the booking at the last minute, leaving me in a very difficult situation. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend the place. Travelers deserve reliability and better treatment.
