Hotel Mare

Breakfast at Hotel Mare was delicious, fresh, and had a nice range of choices each morning. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and well kept, and the hotel was spotless throughout. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help, it felt like staying with family. A great place for a relaxing holiday. I highly recommend it and will be back!

We were very happy with our stay. We arrived late and left early, but the owners waited for us and even put together an early breakfast. They were caring and friendly throughout, and gave us recommendations for beaches, cafes, and bars. We came in early May, before the hotel got busy. Parking outside was free, and the location was convenient at the town entrance, with shops and cafes nearby. A lovely beach was less than a 10-minute walk away. The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable, with the room cleaned perfectly each day. There’s a small pool and five sun loungers. Breakfast is the only meal offered, with eggs, sausages, cheese, fresh vegetables, olives, cereal, homemade pastries, juice, coffee, tea, and fruit. We had apples and oranges. For lunch or dinner, it’s easy to find somewhere in town with a varied menu, or order delivery to the hotel.

The hotel was always clean and tidy, and the staff were lovely, friendly, and there whenever we needed help. They arranged taxis and suggested restaurants. Sarah deserves a special thanks for being patient, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile so we could enjoy our holiday. I’d definitely recommend the hotel and would come back 😁😁😁

Hotel Mare is very close to Ksamil beach, which was quiet when we visited, though the beach bar makes it look like it could get lively in summer. The walk into Ksamil’s main center, where the Instagram beach is, took about 15-20 minutes. That was our favorite beach, but in season you have to pay for beds. The route is easy and passes lots of highly rated bars and restaurants. We stayed just before summer started. The rooms were impeccably clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff were as helpful and friendly as could be. They even shared recommendations for other parts of Albania. Breakfast was included, tasty, and plentiful, with lovely touches like peach jam from the family’s trees and bread from the local bakery. The pool was clean and pleasant, with comfy loungers. I think they get sun for most of the day, around 11:00-17:00, though I’m not sure since we spent most of our time at the beach.
