Malo Apartments

We booked this hotel because its online reviews everywhere were amazing. When we arrived, though, we were taken up the road and put in a room at a different hotel, not the room we'd booked and paid for. There was no pool there either, even though the hotel we paid for had one. The owner kept telling us that Vila Finnley wasn't her hotel and that we'd booked her hotel. But it was her number on Vila Finnley's information sheet, which is how we contacted her in the first place. When we brought this up, the owner came to the door with the property manager on the phone. He screamed at me, called me stupid, and asked if I knew how to read because, according to him, I hadn't booked Vila Finnley but Vila Malo. I'd shown him my Vila Finnley booking confirmation several times. Please bear in mind I am a young girl, and this was at 10 at night in a foreign country. It seemed clear to me that the property had been overbooked and that we'd been moved, then intimidated into thinking we were wrong so they wouldn't have to refund us. I think it's disgusting to lie to hotel guests repeatedly and then try to intimidate them. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here or at Vila Malo either.

The host was very welcoming, and the accommodation was great. The rooms are nice and clean, and they provide bedding whenever it's needed. The nearest beaches in the area are about a 10 minute walk away.

The place was clean and everything worked, and the owner was super helpful. You can walk to all the beaches from here. For the price, it was incredibly good. It's kind of mind-boggling that a beach sunbed costs almost as much as one night here.

The balcony had a lovely sunset view, and the centre and beaches were only a short walk away. The host was so accommodating, and the air conditioning and comfortable beds made it a great stay for the price.
