Hotel Aroma

The staff were friendly, and the views around the hotel were spectacular. Unfortunately, the rooms were a major disappointment. The bathrooms are wet rooms, so they stayed very damp, with a constant smell from the drains and mould. Our room wasn’t especially clean either. The pool was okay, but the sun loungers and other furniture were in awful condition and falling apart. Food and drinks were overpriced.

This family-run hotel makes you feel very welcome, and the owner produces his own Riesling wines. We had both dinner and breakfast, and the food was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable, while the gated parking was convenient. The pool was also really enjoyable. It’s a lovely base for visiting Permet and sits on the road to Gyrokaster.

The homemade food was delicious, and the hotel is especially peaceful. Being close to the last wild River of Europe, Vjosa, makes it a lovely stop. On hot summer days, the swimming pool is a great way to cool off, and it’s the only hotel in Përmet providing one. Strongly recommended for families.

There’s a real homemade local kitchen here, and it was a pleasure meeting people and discovering a place like this. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Their smiles can make you feel better when you’re not doing well.
