I stopped here unexpectedly during my trip and made a late reservation, but they still welcomed me extremely warmly. The views are beautiful, and the service was excellent. A great place.

The peaceful setting is the main attraction at Hotel 1 Maj, right along the shores of Ohrid Lake. From the outdoor garden, you can sit close to the clear water and enjoy the breeze, whether with morning coffee or during a quiet evening. Hotel 1 Maj combines a welcoming atmosphere with local charm and modern comfort. While visiting Pogradec or traveling through Albania, this is a place worth stopping at for the lakeside views and tranquil surroundings.

The room was really nice, the location was good, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, the food was a different story. Dinner was genuinely bad, so although it was included in our package, we started eating elsewhere from the second day. Life's too short for bad food.

The restaurant itself was attractive, and the food quantity and quality deserve top marks. Unfortunately, the bill was wrong. We ordered 0.5 kg of grilled chicken priced at 900 lek, but the waiter entered a steak costing 1,800 lek on the fiscal receipt, effectively charging us 1,000 lek too much. I had even left a 200 lek tip.

We spent 22 days here and honestly wished the stay could have continued. After traveling throughout the country, we didn't find another hotel with this level of service and quality. The view, food, and staff were unmatched, and the seafood pasta was out of this world. I highly recommend staying here.
