Grand Hotel Aita

This is a sea-front place that works perfectly for a family break. There aren't many accommodations like it in Albania. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. We stayed last year and came back again this year, and we highly recommend it.

The private beach and the views are the main reasons to come here, and for a budget hotel in Vlore, the value is amazing. You will need a car because it's 25 minutes from the city, and bringing your own snacks and food is sensible. The morning meal is very mediocre, with a small kitchen and very few waiters, so take your time. This isn't an all-inclusive, 10/10 service experience, and it isn't the place for a foot massage or perfect food. Come for the location, save money, and enjoy the view and beach.

The private beach was easily the best part of our stay. Our room was acceptable, although several things, including the lights and plugs, didn't work properly. Breakfast was decent but nothing special. The staff were polite, though they seemed passive and not especially enthusiastic.

The beach was excellent, but that was the only real positive for us. The food was mediocre at best, and dinner service was very slow and badly paced. Two of us were eating while the others waited at least another 20 minutes for their food. When we asked the servers what was happening, they were rude and annoyed. Enjoy the beach, but avoid the restaurant.
