Hotel Ramosaco

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even with limited English, and communication still worked well. We tried Greek salad, mixed salad, beef steak, and mixed fried seafood. Both salads were excellent, while the boned beef steak was delicious. The seafood was good too, although it was a little oilier than I prefer. We left satisfied after a pleasant meal.

This is only about the restaurant, as I did not stay at the hotel. Maybe we caught it on a bad day, but the atmosphere felt toxic and the place was understaffed, with one waiter handling four tables while still trying to be pleasant. The plate in the photo had two tiny shrimp, a couple of shell-less shrimp, leftover calamari, lettuce, and lemon. It tasted like a mouthful of oil that had already been overused during the day, and cost €15. We paid €50 for four beers, a salad, cream, and the dishes shown. We cancelled the main courses because we’d lost our appetite and didn’t want to risk another plate. I had eaten here before, when I would have given it four stars. Like many places in the South, the menu has changed and the prices have gone up. Now, one star is already one too many.

The food was the best we’ve had in Radhime, and the service was amazing. They also brought complimentary fruit, which was a thoughtful touch, and there was a good wine selection. The staff spoke good English too.

We had a lovely light lunch here, and the final bill was very affordable. The atmosphere feels pleasant and family-oriented, without being as busy as other places in Radhima and Vlore. We also spent yesterday at the beach, where the umbrella and two sun loungers cost less than anywhere else I’ve seen in the Albanian riviera. Really impressed, and I’d go again.
