Barracuda Hotel

The apartment looked fine, although the a/c didn’t cool properly, and staff told us we could use the swimming pool. The real problem was the night. Noise from the hallway and surrounding apartments kept us awake, and the very loud guests made it unbearable. We complained at reception around 1am and again the next morning, but our concerns weren’t taken seriously. When we asked for compensation, staff rudely said we should be grateful we had used the pool because it wasn’t included in the booking, then denied that another staff member had told us otherwise. Prices were as high as in Europe, but the service was nowhere near that standard. The so-called private beach also belongs to someone else and requires an additional payment. Terrible experience.

The cleanliness here is notably high, and breakfast is another strong point. Outside, there is a large saltwater pool, while the seafront has a rocky beach area with sunbeds. The staff are helpful and usually close by, and the restay is worth mentioning too. One important issue is payment, since the hotel currently accepts ONLY CASH. That seems like an easy change that would help everyone, and taxes are good for society. Ground-floor rooms may also have air-conditioning or moisture problems. Even with those points, this is a good hotel with plenty of potential.

We left as soon as we arrived because the accommodation was nothing like what had been promised. We had booked an apartment for four people, expecting a sea view and plenty of room, but it was really one large room divided by a door, with barely enough space for the beds. It was also far from the pool and breakfast area. Reception admitted that we were right and offered a small discount, but we wanted the accommodation we had reserved, not a reduction in price. To be fair, this was not the receptionist's fault. Still, be careful with the photos, since they show the best rooms. Those look good, but you may instead get a small, uncomfortable room away from the pool, beach, and restaurant, with no view.

The shaded terrace is a great place to sit and look out over the coastline, which is amazing. Meals in the restaurant are well prepared, the menu has plenty of variety, and the waiters and waitresses are polite and helpful. The pool is another highlight, a beautiful natural saltwater pool with no chlorine. Not many people seem to have discovered this place yet. I almost don't want to give it such a good review because I prefer having it quiet and to myself. So please don't come here!!!
