The woman who runs Hotel Elena is a gem: kind, patient, accommodating, and a great listener if you need a friend in a pinch. The women who clean the rooms are lovely too. As a solo female traveler, I come back to places where I feel safe and well cared for, and where the views and amenities are good. They made me feel like part of the family. I've stayed here several times, and it's my go-to when I want to be in the center of Saranda. Room 402 is my favorite, with a sea view, and I try to book it whenever it's available. I stayed there for a month once and was quite comfortable. It has a large refrigerator, double hot plate, and the basics for coffee and simple meals. The balcony view is great, and for a little hotel studio it's got everything you need at a very affordable price compared to other properties nearby. The room next door is decorated and equipped similarly. Across the hall on the same floor, the room without a sea view is also modern and nicely decorated, but has fewer amenities. Not all rooms are the same, so be sure you know what you're booking. You're minutes from the beach, restaurants, ATM, groceries, Rossman, and more.

The apartments were kept to a very high standard, and the staff were welcoming and quick to respond on WA. The shower, bed, cooking facilities, and balcony all made our time in Sarande great. Fabulous stay, highly recommend.

The lady at the front desk was especially lovely, kind, and attentive. She also recommended some amazing places to visit. The service was impeccable. A very beautiful hotel in a perfect location, with a clean, functional room.

It was a big help that we could leave our bags safely before catching the ferry. Everyone in these two blocks was super friendly and helpful, even the people who didn't speak English, who still had time for a smile and a wave. We booked at the last minute after deciding to return to Sarande. We'd stayed in the apartments next door before, which had set a high bar, and we weren't disappointed. The balcony had the same beautiful view, and a woman we'd met on that earlier stay gave us a lovely welcome back. It was nice to see the ladies helping each other with their businesses. They deserve every good review. We had a lovely stay, and everything we needed was there.

The owner was amazing, so kind, quick to answer all our questions, and helped us with a lot. It felt like having a friend who could answer anything and knew all about saranda. The hotel is so cheap, yet the service felt like five stars, and everything was super clean. The location is perfect, just 20 meters from the beautiful public beach in saranda. There are lots of restaurants close by, and we could walk to everything we needed all week. Thanks for the week, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone! 🙏🌸
