Nika Hotel

Avoid this place. It was the worst hotel stay I’ve had, and it didn’t feel like a hotel at all. The photos make the shop on the ground floor look like the entrance, but the woman there rudely shooed me away when I tried to go through it, even though it leads into the building. The actual entrance is around the back and looks awful. They claim to have a reception, but there isn’t one. The rooms are on the third floor, and breakfast is on the seventh. The elevator didn’t work, and nobody mentioned that. The rooms are tiny, barely big enough for two, and the refrigerator was really noisy. Towels felt like sandpaper. They also say the rooms are soundproof, but the neighborhood was very noisy, with dogs barking for half the night and sounds carrying through. I had trouble sleeping. Communication was difficult because no one spoke English. Cleaning was poor, and they didn’t refill the soap, so I had to buy my own. Breakfast was cold, unpleasant, and very poor. The location is in a poor neighborhood and not close to the beach. One night the water stopped working. With no reception and nobody who understood English, I didn’t know who to tell. This feels like a scam that should be reported. I’m posting a picture of the real entrance to this “hotel” below.
