Frojd Hotel

The beach view was breathtaking, especially in the morning, and it made the stay feel even more special. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Service was just as good, with friendly, attentive staff who went out of their way to help. I highly recommend this hotel for the food and scenery.

The balcony overlooking the water was my favorite part of staying at Hotel Frojd in Shëngjin, especially in the evening. The room was modern, clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed. Its position beside the sea also meant beautiful views and easy access to the beach. The restaurant offered fresh, varied breakfasts and a mix of Albanian and international food, with friendly, efficient service. The staff were warm and attentive from arrival onward. I'd return for either a quiet break or a family holiday.

We stayed for just one night, and the room still wasn't ready when we arrived at 2:00 PM, despite check-in being listed from 12-2 PM. The bathroom was dirty when we finally entered, and after it was cleaned there was no water because of a leak. There were no towels, the internet was very weak, and the general hygiene fell below standard. The room was also far too small.

Our family holiday was badly affected by this hotel. The first-floor room looked nothing like the booking photos, with cheap furniture and a leak above the double bed. Restaurant air-conditioning units outside the window blew hot air, smells, and noise into the room. The bathroom faucet was partly broken, causing floods, and the floor sloped toward the room instead of the drain. Housekeeping didn't clean our room until I asked reception for toilet paper and soap on the fourth or fifth day, after which three rooms were cleaned. In the next room, a faulty shower faucet apparently flooded the guests' room, suitcases, and shoes, and a staff member simply gave the guest a mop and told her to clean it herself. On top of that, before returning our IDs, which they had kept throughout the stay, staff entered to count the linen, including pillows and towels. Completely disappointing.
