Hotel Chicago

The service and personal attention from the team made this stay especially wonderful. Amila deserves a special thank you 💕. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the à la carte breakfast was great. We had such a nice stay at this hotel.

The hotel sits in a great part of the city, close to everything, yet it was quiet inside. We especially liked the balcony and deck bar, where we could sit and look over the city. We stayed for three nights in early September 2025. My wife had a seriously broken ankle, so we depended heavily on the staff, who were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. They arranged elevator access so she could avoid the stairs and gave us the perfect room. The room was modern, clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. We would happily stay here again when visiting the city.

The hotel was a convenient base after our drive from Croatia to Albania. Most of the interesting places are within walking distance, and the staff parked our car and had it ready whenever we needed it. Finding the place was easiest by heading toward the statue of Mother Theresa, turning left while facing her, and looking for the hotel on the right. Our room was modern and very clean, with a kettle, rain shower, and comfortable beds. We left the window open and could hear the prayer calls from the huge mosque across the street. We had both dinner and breakfast there. Dinner was fresh meat with fries, while breakfast was a buffet of Albanian foods, which I really enjoyed. I'd definitely return.

The location is excellent, with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. The hotel is actually directly opposite Xhamia e Madhe, and the entrance is accessible from the main street. Google Maps sent us through narrow roads that were extremely difficult to drive, so that route should not be followed. We stayed one night during our shkodër visit before going to theth. The room was nice, breakfast had many choices, and the staff kindly helped with our luggage. Reception is reached from minus 1 and is on the 4th floor. The elevator did stop working for a while, though. One thing I would change is providing blankets by default instead of only covers.
