There was no refrigerator or bath in the room, despite both being listed in the description. The owner was incredibly rude: he short-changed us, yelled at us, and refused to call a taxi. We only stayed one night, then moved to a hostel the next day where the staff were friendly and the rooms matched their description. If you're looking for cheap accommodation, I'd suggest a hostel closer to the main part of town.

The hotel staff were friendly and always smiling, and they gave me tips on places to see around Shkodra. It's about a 10-minute walk to the "Pedonale"; if you're arriving by car, you can park outside and walk into the center. The area around the hotel has no entertainment, and much of the city outside the center shuts down early. With a car, you could head to the Shiroka area by Shkodra lake for a "tave krapi" kind of fish. Rozafa Castle is also worth seeing. At the main entrance, look for the rose in the wall, "Roze ... Rozafa"; just inside, on the left, there's a hole said to be where the legend of the Rozafa girl began. The nearest beach is Velipoja. Have fun!
