The Wanderers Hostel

I’m a hostel person, and The Wanderers is easily one of my favorites. The garden has loads of places to relax, including big shaded tables that work well for digital nomads. Inside the garden, the bar serves cheap, well-made cocktails, and there’s free rakija too, so take care with that 😝 The beds are super comfy, the location is great, and the whole place feels welcoming as soon as you arrive. Shkoder is beautiful and has plenty to explore, so stay a couple of days or even a week. Free breakfast and dinner are a huge plus, and karaoke night was such a vibe. The staff are always smiling, friendly, and helpful. Jozef has the coolest, kindest energy, and a big thank you to Silver, the owner, for everything. I’m 100% coming back 💕

Juled was an awesome receptionist and explained everything so well. And Jozef and gigi are the best bartenders I met during my whole two months in the balkans. They’re truly amazing people, and I’d tell anyone to stay here for them. Best hostel I’ve ever been to!!!!

Even though I got in very late from Sarandë, after reception had officially closed, the team welcomed me and got me checked in without any trouble. That night, Endri talked me through the Theth–Valbona hike with real enthusiasm and clear details, from what to expect and where to get cash to where I’d be staying. I felt ready and excited for the next day. The Wanderers Hostel has a fantastic atmosphere and an excellent team. Definitely recommend it!

We arrived to find a free traditional dinner and karaoke night going on. The hostel’s central location, breakfast, dinner, and events were all great, and the price felt fair for what we got. I actually left feeling we’d gotten more than expected. There were a couple of small annoyances: twice the toilet paper was gone, and a pump, I guess, in the second building was really loud all night. Better insulation might help with the noise.
