Villa Noem

The owner is lovely and helpful, and the place is clean and cozy. It’s central but still quiet. We stayed there twice and would highly recommend it.

I’ve travelled for years for both business and leisure, and lately I’ve been choosing smaller, more personal hotels and apartments over luxurious but less personal four- and five-star places. Villa Noem suited me. It has just eight rooms over two floors. Mine was small but very clean, with a very comfortable bed and a good, dependable shower. There’s a fridge for food and drinks, though it was empty when I arrived. I had a balcony but only used the room for sleeping and showering, so I didn’t use it. Orange juice was available at reception in the morning. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the main square, with lots of restaurants nearby. I liked Aloha Fish next door. The price was a little higher than other apartments in the area, but I thought it was worth it. My room was at the front by the road, and noise was the downside. It isn’t a busy street, but it’s narrow, and Albanian drivers like to use their horns, even at night. I couldn’t leave the balcony door open while sleeping. Even with it shut, I sometimes heard noise from outside or from other guests inside. A couple of cheap earplugs fixed that. The Wi-Fi was excellent, so keeping in touch with the office was easy. Reception was unoccupied most of the day, but when I had a question, I could send an App and usually got a reply within an hour. The cleaning ladies were very friendly, too. I was happy with the service, location, accommodation, and price. I’d recommend it for a business or private trip. The staircase is very narrow, though, so it may not suit people with mobility issues or anyone carrying large luggage. I only had a small cabin bag.

The decor was nice, the rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. It’s a lovely little hotel in a very central spot, just right for the location. Staff welcomed us warmly, offered coffee when we arrived from the airport, and helped us to our room. I don’t think it’s always manned, so we were lucky to cross paths with them. Highly recommend!

Villa Noem is a lovely boutique hotel, very clean, with modern, comfortable rooms. It’s in a quiet but central part of Tirana, and the staff are extremely kind and helpful.
