Hotel Opera

The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the hotel is very central. It's less than a 5-minute walk to Skanderbeg Square, with cafes, bars, and restaurants nearby. The continental buffet breakfast was surprisingly good, with plenty to choose from and staff on hand to help. Our double room was clean and comfortable, and the linen and towels were pristine. We'll definitely book here again if we return to Tirana 🙂

The rooms are much bigger than you expect and furnished really well. Breakfast is small, but covers the basics, and the front desk staff were helpful. The hotel is in a perfect spot and priced competitively. A very good choice for a visit to the genuinely terrific city of Tirana.

I ended up without anywhere to sleep because the hotel cancelled my reservation without telling me. The booking page said they would contact me with bank transfer details after my card was declined several times for no clear reason, but they ignored my calls and messages. On check-in day, Booking still showed the reservation as confirmed. When I called again, they finally answered and said they had cancelled it due to overbooking. I spoke to a Booking assistant four times, and Booking found me another hotel and promised to cover the difference. Hotel Opera looks fabulous, but in my experience they don't care about their clients. I strongly recommend not booking here.

Breakfast was incredible, and the staff were lovely. It's central to everything, so a perfect base for exploring Tirana. I highly recommend it and will definitely return on my next trip.
