Drita made us feel like family during our two days here, and we shared plenty of laughs. She showed us around and cooked delicious local food with things from her garden. The bed was extremely comfortable, the view was incredible, and we liked being a little outside Valbone. If you want a warm local experience, stay here. She tries to accommodate vegan diets and other restrictions, though you’re in rural Albania and should respect local ways of life. Don’t be a turist budalla! Much love, Drita. See you next time. This was my favourite place during my time in Albania. Drita’s spot was clean, authentic, and had everything we needed, right in a wonderful setting for anyone who loves nature. Staying here is also a chance to learn about Albanian culture, farming, and food, so come ready to try the local cuisine. Breakfast is part of that cultural experience, so please appreciate it. After finishing the Peaks of the Balkans route, we spent two nights at this guesthouse and fell in love with it. We enjoyed the delicious, authentic food in the garden, under the shade of an olive tree. Drita was warm and welcoming, and our room was clean and comfortable. I’d recommend it for a relaxing, authentic stay in Valbonë.

The room and bathroom were very clean, and our upper floor in the separate guesthouse was spacious with a really comfortable bed. The walk from the large new tourist hotels is about 1 km, but it’s worth it for the amazing mountain view from the backyard. Our caring host gave us plenty to eat at dinner, breakfast, and lunch.
