Miramare Boutique Hotel

The restaurant was the highlight for us. Every dish we had was delicious, with fresh ingredients, good seasoning, and lovely presentation. It had a cozy but elegant feel, and the service was attentive without hovering. The hotel stay was just as good: staff were welcoming and professional from arrival through checkout, and our room was spotless, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. A real gem for a relaxing break or a special occasion. We’re keen to return and would recommend it.

The restaurant was good, but the way the tip was handled left a bad impression. When he brought the bill, the server said service wasn’t included. As I paid, he kept 500 lek and asked if 500 for the service was okay. That’s a really bad way to ask for a tip.

The food was very good, breakfast was fresh and tasty, and most of the staff were warm and welcoming. The two young women at reception were especially kind and professional. Still, I left genuinely disappointed, since the stay fell short of what I expect from a 4-star hotel. On the first day, my daughter got trapped in the room when the bathroom door broke. A restaurant waiter eventually helped her out after a lot of panic and back-and-forth. We were told not to shut the door until it could be repaired, but it was never fixed, so we had to manage that problem for the whole stay. It felt unsafe and unacceptable. There was also a large square hole in the wall with ventilation pipes exposed. The sheets were changed just once, and cleanliness overall wasn’t good. The balcony had two cheap plastic chairs but no table, which made it feel unfinished and uncomfortable. On our last day, a middle-aged woman, who I suspect was the owner’s wife, barely greeted us and seemed snobbish. It was a sour ending. I don’t usually complain, and this is a sincere call for improvement: there’s a lot of work needed for the hotel to meet its 4-star rating.

The room on the 3rd floor had a stunning view, and the beds were so comfortable that we slept better than ever during our stay. I was here with my mother while visiting family nearby, and the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff were courteous, friendly, and treated us so well. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, served as a personal buffet with meat, cheese, tomatoes, olives, homemade jam, butter, bread, and eggs. I’d highly recommend staying here.
