The resort facilities were adequate, but I won't recommend or fund this place again. The bears are kept in filthy conditions, far from anything like their natural environment, and the treatment of the animals is cruel and inhumane. The resort had promised to transfer them to sanctuaries where they could live out their lives in natural surroundings. Now it's backing away from that promise to profit from these beautiful, unfortunate animals as supposed entertainment. It's senseless and cruel.

We were the only guests at the resort when we visited in winter, but our two days there were fabulous. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment, and the grounds were amazing, with a water-feature garden, a huge man-made lake with a wooden deck, a mini zoo, and a botanical garden. Truly outstanding. Anyone visiting Tatev should make a stop here.

We had a good vacation at Resort MJA, near Sian city in the village of Hacavan. The food was really tasty, the rooms were comfortable, and there's a big swimming pool. Syunik is beautiful, and the nature around the resort felt like heaven. I'd recommend visiting MJA.

There were 14 of us from my family visiting from Australia, and every one of us had an amazing time. The resort has loads of activities and is an excellent place to bring children. We loved the gardens and water features, the pool, and the fish pond. What you see on the website is true, and the kitchen uses fresh organic produce, with meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit from its own gardens. It's a great stopover for seeing the amazing sights around. Strongly recommend it. Loved it!

I personally wouldn't stay somewhere that supports animal cruelty. Wild bears are being kept in small cages at this resort, so please don't stay here if you care about animals.
