Dilijazz Hotel and Restaurant

The food was good and the service okay, but the hotel and rooms, while clean, are outdated, with cracks, dents, and broken bits. We were the only guests, yet paid the same rate as in high season, which felt like poor marketing. There was no activity or music, and the game room was reserved for guests from another hotel. This was probably my first and last visit.

The peaceful, green setting was lovely, and cleanliness was acceptable, though not perfect. The food was average rather than memorable, and given the relatively high prices, we expected something more refined. The biggest problem for me was the hospitality. We had booked a spa session, but the staff member seemed disengaged and irritated, sighing often and making it hard to relax. The pool is officially open until 22:30, yet around 20:00 the staff on duty made us feel unwelcome because they wanted to leave early. I felt more like an intruder than a guest. We booked Dilijazz Hotel for a relaxing break, but the stay didn’t meet expectations overall. This is my personal impression, and others in our working group, who stayed separately, may have felt differently. For the price, I expected more courtesy and professionalism. I did see that the hotel administration acknowledged feedback. If I return and see real improvement, I’d be glad to update this review.

The views, surrounding nature, and evening music were the parts we enjoyed. The room service staff were also kind. But after having an amazing five-star stay at DiliJazz Hotel two years ago, we came back for two days and were very disappointed. The café was closed for renovation, and many good dishes had disappeared from the restaurant menu. The pillows and sheets felt cheap and stiff, and were so uncomfortable. When we tried to raise this with the receptionist, she cut off the conversation to answer phone calls and didn’t seem to care about the complaint. Some other staff also came across as unhappy and careless.

A birthday surprise for my mother, who turned 90, made this trip especially unforgettable. The staff arranged a live band in the restaurant to serenade her with “Happy Birthday,” and the whole dining room joined in. Arsen and Liana put together a special dessert with a candle and a beautiful fruit plate. We’re so grateful for that magical moment. The team were warm, professional, kind, and welcoming throughout. The hotel was spotless, the food was delicious, and the chef deserves huge compliments. The management clearly cares about the details and treats guests thoughtfully. Even with rain for most of our visit, we loved the setting by the river, surrounded by lush nature, and the creative, modern architecture. Yerevan was vibrant, but our time in Dilijan at DiliJazz Hotel left the deepest impression. Thank you, Dilijazz. We can’t wait to come back!
