The location is right in the center, close to everything, and our room was spacious and clean. The staff were a delight from the moment we arrived, polite, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The hotel also puts its income toward the clinic opposite, and the small artisan shop sells handmade goods in support of local NGOs. A must stay in Gyumri.

We got food poisoning after eating the terrible food. There weren't any toiletries in the bathroom, not even toothpaste, just toilet paper. And no one was at the reservation desk.

It's an interesting idea to run the hotel as an art gallery, with each room devoted to a local artist. The staff were very kind, and the rooms were generally clean. The food could be improved, though.

Breakfast came with the stay, but it wasn't good. Some of the strings of cheese had mold on them. We were a family of five and got two twin rooms, with an extra bed squeezed into one. That bed was impossible to sleep on, the other beds weren't comfortable either, and there was no AC during the heat. Our rooms faced the Garden, where bright lights shone straight in because there were no blinds. Nobody slept well. We went in August intending to stay two nights, but left after just one. It was a really bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend this place.
