The decor has a fascinating old USSR feel, like it might have during the Soviet heyday, when top-ranking generals stayed here. The hotel dates from around 1968, and its spacious rooms, views, attractive exterior, and lakeside location make it a fascinating place. Staff were incredibly helpful. We ate supper in the dining hall. The food was simple but delicious: fresh salads, tasty soup, local fish, then cakes and coffee for dessert. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

The lake views are great, and the dining hall is a short walk away in a separate building. The older Soviet-style building has a quirky kind of grandeur.

Dirty place, uncomfortable beds, and a rude bartender. The TV only had Russian. Wouldn't recommend it.
