Very Good Featured review

The good parts were breakfast and the service and cleaning. Beyond that, we unfortunately spent 3 nights here, and the Booking score (8.7 then) and photos gave the wrong impression. The rooms were tiny, the Wi-Fi was awful, and one room smelled bad. We almost had to beg to switch rooms, and the new one cost USD 10 more per night. The bathroom was acceptable, but hot water took 7 minutes to arrive. The beds felt a bit hard to me, though that's personal. Street-facing rooms get noise from speeding cars and motorcycles until 3/4 AM. There's NO ELEVATOR, plus a ton of weird stairs to get around. Stay away from this hotel.

The garden and heated outdoor pool were a nice way to unwind, especially on hot days. Breakfast was included, with a good variety and tasty options to start the day. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with air conditioning, a private bathroom, and free Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly and helpful with local recommendations. Solares Hotel is in a quiet area, yet downtown Alta Gracia and its attractions are only a short walk away. Everything was clean and comfortable, just as I expected, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting.
