The breakfast was simple but good, and the restaurant was decent, though service could be slow. The staff were friendly, and the furnishings were plain but comfortable enough. The doors slam loudly, so I had to leave the A/C on low to create enough white noise. I stayed for close to three weeks and was generally very happy. As a business traveler, I was disappointed by the gym and its hours. They agreed to open it early for me, which worked for the first week, but then they kept forgetting, so I stopped getting up early. When the hotel is full, there isn’t enough room for everyone and it gets pretty loud. Even so, I think it’s the best option in Bahia Blanca. For the quality, the price is hard to beat in the area.

The staff are helpful and friendly, and the rooms are clean. Breakfast is just okay. Probably the best hotel in Bahia Blanca.

The best thing is the location, close to everything in the city. Breakfast is included in the room fee and is okay, but it starts at 6:30 AM while the chef doesn’t arrive until 7. The room was alright, though the mattress needs replacing because it sags in the middle. Internet didn’t work on the second floor and was extremely slow elsewhere. I reported the slowness to the front desk on two consecutive days. They kept promising they’d look into it “tomorrow,” but nothing changed. By tomorrow, they mean after you’ve left, when they don’t care anymore.

The “lomo” at the hotel restaurant is the highlight, and the restaurant is usually open. The architecture and decoration are amazing, with a real five-star feel. Service is okay, and excellent by Argentina’s standards. They’ve taken a long time with the remodelación, but it should be worth it when they reopen. Like many traditional fancy hotels in Argentina, the fancy parts are being worn down to look “dirty old.” There are lots of curtains and carpeted floors, which we now know can be extremely hard to keep clean and tidy.
