Cabañas Barlovento

The views are fantastic, but the place needs a lot of work. We were two couples there for five nights in late October 2018, and the stay was very disappointing. On arrival, the main bedroom sheets were visibly dirty and stained, and clearly hadn't been changed. The doona was dirty too. The owner argued and initially refused to replace them. We took photos and insisted, and after more arguing he reluctantly agreed. The kitchenware was poor despite what the websites indicated: just one chipped, black pot with a broken handle and no lid, a black frying pan, and very few utensils. There were only four cups, all chipped or cracked, so we bought four new ones for the place. The gas oven seal hangs down, letting heat escape and making the cooktop switches too hot to touch. That's dangerous and unacceptable. The cooktop exhaust fan was hanging and held in place with a wine cork. There was no sink plug anywhere, so we used an upside-down cup. A washing machine wasn't promised, but for a high-end place like this I'd expect one; we had none during our five nights, which was very unsatisfactory. Some dining chairs also have significant holes in the seats and need replacing. I wouldn't recommend it unless these issues are addressed.
