Gran Hotel Panamericano

The one good thing was the nature. We stayed one night, and it was a big disappointment. The food was terrible: it was incredibly chewy, and the chicken was barely cooked and full of muscle. I normally finish everything on my plate, but my friend and I almost puked. The elevator stopped working for a couple of minutes, which didn't feel safe either. And when we tried the hairdryer in the bathroom, it nearly exploded. We definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was included, and the self service buffet was very good, with fresh fruit, lots of breads, cakes and pastries, and fresh scrambled eggs. The waiter was attentive and helped my children serve themselves. We had a family room with Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, and plenty of storage. The decor was a little spartan, but I think that worked well. We were on a bike tour, and the staff found a secure place to park our bikes. Nice hotel, and the staff were very friendly.

The room was a little small, but the staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel has a good view of the lake, and it's easy to take a boat trip there. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was delicious.

We paid 21500 ARS per night through booking com, with breakfast included. The hotel used an exchange rate of 255 ARS to the dollar, quite a bit above the 204-212 ARS official rate that other hotels in Argentina were using when I wrote this in March 2023. There's also a required eco tax of 600 ARS per person. The hotel is a little farther from the center of Bariloche, but compared with other hotels there, it was a great option. The staff were very friendly, and both breakfast and the rooms were good. We had dinner at the hotel once and enjoyed it.
