Las Marianas Hotel

The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, and a dog right outside the property barked nonstop and made the stay miserable. There’s no air conditioning and no TV, not even a shared TV room for the whole hotel. The breakfast buffet is overpriced. This place felt like the bare minimum in every way, with absolutely no amenities. The weather was supposed to reach 33°C, and without air conditioning we checked in, then checked out within hours and refused to stay. It wasn’t going to be an enjoyable time. Book at your own peril.

The rooms are on the small side, but the owners are amazing and the rooms are clean. Breakfast was fresh and great. They let guests store bags, skis, boots, and other gear in the sitting area near the lobby. A great place to stay for adventures around Bariloche!

The hotel had a lovely city view and a great location, close enough that we walked to the ice skating rink and went out for dinner. It felt like staying at someone’s home, and the rooms were cozy and nice. The TV signal was poor, which our little ones didn’t appreciate. There were a couple of living rooms, plus a game room where you could play games.

The staff were welcoming and tried to help with everything, unlike the hotel owners. We had booked two rooms for two nights, then returned six days later for another two nights. When we paid for the first stay, the owners charged us for all four nights and refused to give us a receipt. On our return, we told her that other hotels in Argentina had accounted for the new law there and charged 40 percent less. She refused, saying she charged the full amount and did not take the new law into account. We didn’t argue. As we checked out and walked to our car, she came in front of us and made obscene gestures. My friend went to ask why, and her husband came out and pushed my friend. We travel all over the world, and this was the first time I’d encountered behavior like that. I don’t recommend this hotel.
