Rodex Hostel Tucuman

The room came with air conditioning and a TV with a satellite dish, and the Wi-Fi worked off and on. We paid $35 per day. We booked the superior double room expecting a double bed, but there were three single beds instead. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the shared bathrooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast included yogurt, coffee with milk, bread with cream cheese and jam, and oranges. Guests can use an electric kettle, and there’s a refrigerator for storing whatever you like. Dishes and a dishwasher are provided too. The pool was very nice and 1.5 meters deep. The location was good, about 10-14 blocks from Plaza Independencia. A very nice experience, thank you Rodex!

The service was great. They always helped me find the best price options and ways to improve my stay, and they responded to every request for information. The common areas are lovely, including the lounge, pool, and terrace. The location is very central, and using the kitchen was no problem at all.

The bathrooms could use better supplies, since they were all missing something, like toilet paper or somewhere to put your things in the shower. The female dorm was hard to manage in hot weather: it had only a fan, the windows wouldn’t open, and there was hardly room to move around. The lockers beneath the beds were really awkward, too. The location is good, and breakfast is decent for the price, but the pool and several shared areas need cleaning.

The pool was a lifesaver during siesta. The place was really clean, the service was friendly, and it’s great value for the money.
